What is “Backcross”?

Backcross is often referred to as BX. If a grower likes specific traits in a plant then backcrossing will help retain those traits in the strain.

Backcross (verb):
  1. Pronounced: /ˈbakkrôs/
  2. A form of cannabis breeding that lets a desirable, targeted trait pass from the parent plant to the offspring.
  3. To cross a plant with one of its parents or an organism with the same genetic characteristics as one of the parents.
