The product includes a plastic vial containing the temperature strip, the urine powder, and the instruction sheet. It also includes a set of adhesive warmers used to heat the specimen to body temperature. The plastic vial is about four inches in length and an inch in diameter, with a tapered base and a screw-on plastic cap. The vial of powdered urine is quite small — just shy of two inches long and about half an inch in diameter. We like that the urine powder is in a vial as opposed to a packet, which makes it easy to pour into the specimen vial with no mess.
Urine Kit Includes:
- one vial containing powdered urine (not fake piss, this is actual urine)
- one 50-ml plastic medical transport vial with blue lid
- one temperature strip attached to the 50-ml vial
- two air-activated heaters enclosed in a plastic package
Claims the Product Makes
This product allows you to substitute guaranteed clean urine in place of your specimen for unsupervised drug tests. As this stuff is the same material used to calibrate urine drug tests, we have high hopes for it. The temperature strip claims to be highly accurate (we tested it with our own thermometer to be sure) and the transport vial allows a bit of extra space to add more water to your specimen — 45 mL is required for most tests to be valid and the vial has space for 50 mL, plus an additional 15 mL or so beyond the measuring lines.
TestClear claims that the product has never failed a test in its history, and the product page is full of positive reviews from customers. The product rating is impressively high, so we have high hopes for this product. In the interest of being thorough, we tested the product with two drug screens: one from TestClear, and one from our local drugstore.
Experience: How We Used the Product
First, we dropped the powdered urine into the transport tube. It came out in one solid chunk resembling a large tablet (a little gross to think about), but we figured it would dissolve with some shaking. We stuck the temperature strip to the bottle, then added our water (any clean, potable water will do, no need to go for distilled) before applying the adhesive heater to the side of the vial opposite the temperature strip. Then, we gave it a good shake for several minutes to dissolve the powder while the heater activated.
In our experience, it took about 50 minutes for the specimen in the vial to reach body temperature with the heater, so we recommend giving yourself at least an hour before test time to prepare your specimen. The heater will last for about six hours, creating a generous window for testing. Be sure to screw the lid on tightly to prevent leaks!
After the specimen reached the appropriate heat with the temperature strip (between 90 and 100°F), we used our instant-read thermometer to double-check the temperature strip’s work. We were pleasantly surprised: the reading of our thermometer was 96.7°F, while the temperature strip indicator hovered just beyond the 96°F mark. The heater should not overheat your specimen, but cooling the sample by a few degrees if necessary is easier than heating it.
In the interest of accounting for any possible bias, we tested the heated urine with two different drug screen panels. The first was the test available from TestClear, and the second was a different brand of immunoassay urinalysis drug panel from our local drugstore. Both drug tests registered clean samples with bold, beautiful test lines! The rehydrated urine tested negative for THC and all substances on a 5-substance panel without raising any alarms.
Best used for
This product is ideal for people who need to pass an unsupervised drug test. The powdered urine kit will work for any urinalysis drug test where you won’t be physically watched by the person administering the test. Unless your drug test is for court purposes, you’re likely in the clear — most tests required for employment are not supervised.
Best used with (Complimentary Product)
While the product comes equipped with everything you need to be successful, there are supplementary products available at the time of purchase. TestClear has made available a thermometer, extra warmers, and two different size vials available as spare products that can be added on to your purchase of the powdered urine kit. The spare warmers may be a good idea for many consumers, as they can extend your window if the test gets delayed for some reason.
At $49.95 for the kit, the product is fairly middle-of-the-road as far as clean testing products are concerned (and much more affordable than, say, losing your job or missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime). It’s much more affordable than a cleansing system or drink and, unlike cleansing products, is guaranteed to work 100% of the time. If you are taking an unsupervised drug test, we highly recommend the powdered urine kit from TestClear.
There are other similar products available on the market, but we like the support available from TestClear with this product. TestClear offers expedited shipping to get your products to you in plenty of time, as well as bulk discounts on purchases of 3 or more of the same product. Also, we could not find a single recorded instance of this urine kit failing, ever. Even with the other options available, we trust this powdered urine kit from TestClear.
