Highlights

Tessera Naturals CBD Pain Cream offers a THC-free option designed for topical use on aching joints and sore muscles. The cream is suitable for use on its own but can be paired with other types of CBD for full-coverage benefits.

Tessera Naturals’ sources their premium plant material from organic hemp farms in Colorado. They also use a proprietary manufacturing process to create the broad-spectrum CBD oil used in every product. According to the brand, this formula offers the benefits of the entourage effect, which is typically thought to be more effective than CBD alone.

We like that all Tessera Naturals’ products are third-party tested for potency and contaminants, and test results are easy to find on their website. The brand uses an organic growing process and solvent-free extraction method to lower the chance of contamination.

We found that this CBD Pain Cream reduced pain on contact. The amount of CBD Cream needed to cover a large area was minimal, and it didn’t leave behind any greasy residue or lingering smells. Ultimately, Tessera Naturals CBD Pain Cream could serve as an integral part of a multifaceted CBD routine.

Overview

Tessera Naturals Broad Spectrum CBD Pain Cream appears to be an herbal option for topical pain relief, but what makes it any different than other CBD topicals on the market?

The Tesséra Naturals CBD Pain Cream offers 500 mg of broad-spectrum CBD per 2 oz jar. This amount of CBD seems small but offers a significant dose in each application. The formula is designed to provide an herbal cooling effect that soothes and refreshes the affected area. According to the brand, the pain relief formula may also be suitable for sunburns and skin repair thanks to various herbs and natural moisturizers.

The brand emphasizes their decision to offer this pain relief formula in cream form instead of the many salve style formulas on the market. The creamy consistency supposedly allows for rapid absorption and fast-acting desired effects and should pose a lighter option than the many thick, oil-based balms available.

Is Tesséra Naturals CBD Pain Cream all it’s talked up to be? We decided to grab a jar or this herbal pain cream formula and find out for ourselves.

Quality Process

Tesséra Naturals’ is based in Austin, Texas, but they source hemp material organically grown in Colorado. The process focuses on a proprietary hemp strain believed to offer an optimal combination of broad-spectrum cannabinoids, resulting in full entourage effect benefits.

They emphasize their creative and resourceful growing practices, where hemp plants are planted alongside melon plants that provide natural fertilization throughout the growing process.  This allows the brand to avoid harsh fertilizers and other unnecessary chemicals.

At peak potential, the hemp is harvested and carefully transferred to the manufacturing facility. There, it undergoes a Supercritical CO2 extraction process designed to strip cannabinoid material without solvents. Supercritical CO2 extraction was chosen for its ability to extract potency whole-plant material while keeping manufacturing costs low.

Finally, hemp extract is carefully refined to remove waxes, chlorophyll, and all trace amounts of THC. This results in a phytocannabinoid-rich hemp extract free of THC, offering THC-restricted consumers an option. The brand has each extract batch tested and verified by the Colorado Dept. of Public Health and Environment as zero-percent THC products.

Tesséra Naturals’ uses this premium extract in their CBD cream for pain. It also includes various essential oils and natural ingredients like aloe vera and lanolin to cool and moisturize to offer pain and inflammation relief. All in all, the formula is vegan, gluten-free, Halal, and non-GMO, so it’s accessible to anyone who wants to give it a shot.

It’s also rather affordable compared to other high-quality products. The 500 mg bottle costs $59.00, or about $0.12 per milligram. That places Tesséra Naturals’ CBD Cream at the lower end of the price range for premium CBD products, which can range as high as $0.20 per milligram. If the formula is as effective and multifunctional as the brand claims, we think this price is more than fair.

First-Hand Review

Tesséra Naturals CBD Pain Cream comes in a 2 oz jar and provides a total of 500 mg of CBD. Luckily, we found that only a small amount of CBD cream was needed to cover a large area. We used a fingertip-sized amount to cover the entire top and underside of our swollen, injured knee.

After two days of swelling and throbbing that over-the-counter anti-inflammatories couldn’t solve, we were delighted at the immediate cooling effect. We can see how the cooling effect would be appreciated on sunburnt skin, but we definitely wouldn’t recommend applying this formula on irritated skin with open wounds.

Instead of traditional cooling creams’ heavy menthol smell, this CBD cream smells deeply of peppermint and eucalyptus. The smell was soothing and almost earthy, but not overwhelming. Still, we enjoyed that it faded quickly, so we didn’t smell minty fresh all day.

The cooling effect also wore off quickly (maybe too quickly), but the pain was dampened for almost two more hours before we needed to reapply.

We also had great results when pairing this CBD Pain Cream with a systemic dose of Tesséra Naturals’ CBD Tincture. The combination of products offered relief that was both fast and long-lasting, which we found to be necessary for more severe pain.  When using both simultaneously, our pain was immediately reduced and remained at bay for almost 6 hours.

Ultimately, Tesséra Naturals’ CBD Pain Cream is effective and convenient and may provide relief from mild to moderate pain in the joints and muscles. We like that the creamy formula absorbs into the skin and leaves only a mild scent after it’s fully absorbed, so it’s a great option for daytime use even when you’re on the go.

We’d recommend this CBD topical for pain, to beginners and advanced users alike, especially those looking to add a topical CBD product to their CBD dosing routine.
