Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
The smell of SeaBeDee’s Full Spectrum Capsules is pretty mild, but not exactly pleasant. It smells sort of like a multivitamin would, but it’s not overwhelming enough to turn you away.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
Like most capsules, you can swallow these down without really tasting them. The aftertaste is similar to that of a multivitamin, probably because of the vegetable capsule used to contain the CBD.
Either way, these capsules are pretty easy to get down, even if you can’t tolerate the hemp flavor associated with most CBD products.
These are average sized capsules filled with powdered full spectrum CBD. They go down like any other capsule, aren’t too large, and make it easy to take CBD alongside your other supplements.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
CBD has become our go-to when the signs of a migraine emerge, and these capsules were so easy to keep on hand for preventative measures. One capsule is 25 mg, which is slightly higher than our usual dose, but seemed to do the trick anyways. It took about an hour for the CBD to kick in, and the migraine seemed to worsen for at least the first 45 minutes.
Suddenly, almost like clockwork, symptoms began to subside and blurry peripheral vision corrected itself. After about an hour and a half, the migraine was completely gone, with no lingering soreness to ruin the rest of the day. As always, there were no side effects, which puts these CBD capsules a step ahead of most migraine medications, which can make you groggy, dizzy, and even nauseous.
These capsules are so convenient that they can easily replace a morning tincture dose used for managing social anxiety throughout the day. In fact, the day of a presentation, these capsules provided a sense of calm and collection that lasted for hours – a huge feat for someone who often panics in small crowds. Of course, they need to be taken earlier than most tinctures, as the onset time was at least an hour, but the pre-measured doses make them perfect for anyone who take CBD every day. Even for chronic social anxiety, there was really no need to redose all day.
One last product tester, a CBD skeptic, was willing to try these capsules because they are “less intimidating” than tinctures. He’s a larger man, so he started with two capsules in hopes of managing pain due to gout. The onset was similar, but the effects were slightly less than he had hoped.
Of course, CBD has not been tested against pain or discomfort due to gout, and even though it was a shot in the dark, he admitted that the capsules definitely relieved some of the swelling after about an hour. He never denied the power of these CBD capsules, just suggested that they may be “better for a twisted ankle” than his gout pain.
Best used for
Cannabidiol has been praised for multiple uses, like managing inflammation and pain or reducing anxiety. Studies show that Cannabidiol could have a positive impact on multiple forms of chronic illness, like multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and more.
These tasteless capsules are easy to swallow and provide a high quality dose of CBD that should take effect in 90 minutes or less. The convenient dosing style makes them appropriate for regular maintenance of any condition that responds well to CBD, but they may not be appropriate where immediate relief is needed.
Best used with (Complimentary Product)
These capsules totally do the job on their own, but if you need immediate relief, you’ll probably want to try something that kicks in faster. Combining this systemic CBD product with a fast-acting CBD vaporizer, like CBDistillery’s CBD Vape Pen, can help provide immediate relief that also lasts 6 hours or more.
For muscle and joint pain, you can also combine these capsules with SeaBeDee’s Muscle and Joint Relief Cream, which actually helps ease the discomfort almost immediately while you wait for the gel caps to do their thing.
These CBD capsules are listed at $64.95 and the bottle contains a total of 750mg of CBD. That means that these capsules costs about $2.17 each, or approximately $0.09 per milligram.
That’s definitely an average price range, and these actually cost the exact same as some other premium brands, like Biofield CBD Gel Capsules.
Although we were initially skeptical of these powder-filled capsules, we were pleased to find that they contain dried MCT oil, an ingredient that helps aid the absorption of CBD by the body.
We see no reason to opt for an alternative unless 25 milligram doses are not best for you. In that case, you may prefer cbdMD’s CBD Oil Softgels, which offer 33.3mg per capsule.
