cbdMD CBD Bath Bombs (Rise Scent) smells warm and invigorating with a feminine touch, featuring eucalyptus leaf oil mellowed by notes of lily and gardenia.  The result is not too floral and not too spicy, perfect for soothing soreness and alleviating stress or unwinding after a long day.

Consistency

Each cbdMD bath bomb is firmly pressed and light in color (no worries about staining your skin or bathtub!) and feels powdery to the touch after removing it from its protective plastic wrapper.  The bath bomb will crumble if crushed or scratched, so be cautious when handling the unwrapped product.

Once dropped into warm bath water, the bombs fizz pleasantly for a few minutes, tinting the water subtly and adding slight cloudiness.  The scent disperses as the bomb dissolves, creating a wonderfully aromatherapeutic experience that’s effective without being too intense for sensitive noses.

The organic CBD and essential oils within the bomb soften and soothe the skin, while Epsom salts cleanse the skin and partner with CBD to improve circulation, alleviating pain and soreness in muscles and joints during and after soaking.

Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)

Per the instructions, we drew ourselves a warm bath, then added the CBD bath bomb to the water and climbed in. The bombs fizzled as expected, lending a brief effervescence to our bath. After the bombs dissolved completely, we relaxed in the tinted water (the color isn’t strong enough to stain tubs or skin).

Within minutes, we felt our muscles starting to relax and enjoyed full-body pain and tension relief.  We love these bath bombs for their high CBD content — 100 mg of organic CBD per bomb — relative to the 15-25 mg common in bath bombs.  That high dose of CBD is very effective against even severe pain, soothing inflammation, and relaxing tension.

The pain-relieving effects began within five minutes of entering the bath and continued to build for the duration of our 40-minute soak (we like to kick back with a book and a bowl but to each their own!).  We tested this product after an extended run, and it worked wonders on our sore legs and hips. We’ve also successfully used these bath bombs for relief from menstrual pain and cramping during our cycles — we found it effective even against day-one pain.

The bombs could also be effective for joint pain, especially if you’re susceptible to pressure in your joints when the seasons change or a front rolls in.  We felt relief from pain, tension, and inflammation for about 4-6 hours after soaking, but your mileage may vary here.

Because relief is intense and relatively long-lasting, we like this product for deep relaxation before bed at the end of a long day.  That said, it’s also effective for powerful pain relief all over any time you need it, especially if you need faster-acting relief.
