Canna Comforts Preroll Hemp Flower Elektra Strain Review

This organic hemp preroll is contained within a plastic container that keeps it fresh and protects the wrap during transit.  Upon opening, the preroll smells of pine, citrus zest, and a subtle sweetness all at once, with a sour tang on the finish.

Elektra, the strain within the cone, is full of terpenes like myrcene (found in mangoes), Limonene (contained in many lemon-flavored herbs, such as lemon balm or lemon thyme), and pinene (a terpene that yields an evergreen aroma), which give it its unique scent and may help boost the effectiveness of the CBD it contains through synergistic effects.

The piney, slightly astringent flavor of this strain comes to fore when smoked, though notes of tangy citrus and a touch of sweetness finish out the aftertaste nicely, rounding out the overall flavor profile.  For as earthy and bold as the taste was, we were pleased with how smoothly it hit — this hemp flower preroll performed on par with the top-shelf cannabis we’ve smoked. It didn’t leave us coughing excessively and didn’t irritate the lungs with harsh smoke, just like our favorite strain of high – THC bud.

The preroll itself is about four inches long and conical in shape, with the flared end measuring about half an inch in diameter.  The paper used to wrap the preroll is made of hemp, which provides an even burn without altering the flavor of the roll.

Within the wrap, the Elektra hemp flower is evenly ground for a slow, smooth burn.  The wrap was easy to light, forming a perfectly round cherry that moved evenly down the length of the wrap — none of the dreaded canoeing that sometimes happens with inferior rolls.

To ensure an even burn, we recommend tapping the crutch end of the joint on a hard surface a few times to allow the herb within to settle in and create a smooth, even burn.  This wasn’t super necessary — the roll arrived in great condition — but we figured it can’t hurt to help the roll along by treating it similarly to how we’d treat a joint we rolled ourselves.

Within minutes of our first puff from this preroll, we felt the relaxing, soothing effects of CBD.  Our symptoms of anxiety diminished — our bodies relaxed, our stomachs felt calm, and our heart rate regulated.  By the end of the joint, we felt calm, at ease, and experienced a general sense of wellbeing.

Physically, we also noticed the effects of the beneficial cannabinoids within the joint.  Our muscles relaxed, we noticed a decrease in inflammation, and muscle and joint pain were markedly reduced.  We received the same effects from this hemp flower preroll that we do from our favorite CBD oils and extracts:  relaxation, pain relief, and alleviation of anxiety symptoms while smoking a joint — one of our favorite pastimes.

There’s a hefty dose of CBD in this product, making it ideal for people who need powerful, fast-acting symptom relief. If your symptoms are intense or come on quickly and strongly, this product may be a good option for you.  It allows you to ingest high doses of CBD in a short time, without any added compounds or flavorings.
