Haleigh Cox was born a healthy, happy baby girl in 2009. Unfortunately, at eight months old she experienced a seizure, after which her parents, Janea and Brian, received heartbreaking news. Haleigh had cerebral palsy and intractable epilepsy that was expected to get worse. Even with all of the medicine, Haleigh suffered over 200 seizures a day and frequently stopped breathing, which eventually resulted in a two-month PICU stay where her parent’s received another grim diagnosis—Haleigh only had a few months to live.

With this heartbreaking news, Haleigh’s parents recounted everything they had tried, from specialized diets to hyperbaric chamber therapy. Then, Janea suggested one last option she had read about online—CBD.
